Surface Pro 4-14

Less than two weeks after making its big Anniversary Update available to the public, Microsoft has already begun testing its next major upgrade to Windows 10. “Redstone 2” is now available to download for Windows Insiders.
You won’t find any significant new features in this update yet, according to The Verge — but Microsoft has made “structural improvements to its OneCore shared code of Windowsacross PCs, tablets, phones, HoloLens, Xbox, and IoT.”
One noticeable change in Windows 10 build number 14901 is the addition of notifications within the File Explorer, which provide new users with tips on what’s different in Windows 10. However, it’s easy to opt out of these if you don’t want them.
It should be noted that because this is an early build of a big update, it is not suitable for primary PCs. In fact, Windows software engineer Dona Sarkar warns that the first few builds of this release will be buggy, unstable, and “slightly more painful” to use.
If you only have one computer, then, you will definitely want to avoid these test builds for a while until they’re much improved. It doesn’t sound like there are currrently enough changes to persuade too many users to upgrade early anyway.
