It is easy to slip away with all the speculations and rumours surrounding smartphones, as there were initial reports that pointed to Samsung Galaxy A7 (2017) with IP68 certification. Well now, the company themselves have teased the water resistance feature on the next generation Galaxy A Series devices that are likely to launch at CES 2017, in a week’s time. The new official teaser tipped by Samsung Mobile Malaysia points out saying, “It all begins with A. Hold your breath”, followed with water droplets on the image, making it clear that the phone would most likely be water resistant. Getting on to the specs, the upcoming Galaxy A7 (2017) is expected to sport a 5.7 inch Super AMOLED full-HD display with 1080x1920 resolution and could likely power on Samsung's Exynos 7880 octa-core processor, paired with 3GB RAM. For storage the handset would come with a 32GB inbuilt memory that could be increased using an external microSD card. Other rumours suggest that the new Galaxy A7 would back a 16 Megapixel rear camera with LED flash along with a similar 16 Megapixel front facing sensor with f/1.9 aperture, for clicking selfies and video calling. The image tipped by the company doesn’t really point to any particular Galaxy A series phone, so there are chances that the upcoming Galaxy A5 and Galaxy A3 could also be water resistant smartphones. Samsung might be announcing the new Galaxy A Series phones at CES 2017, followed with launch details that could be revealed during the event.
