We have known about the issue of climate change for about a decade. Despite of people across the world going gaga over this serious issue, the problem seems to be getting worst with each passing day. But now, Leonardo DiCaprio, United Nations (UN) Messenger for Peace on climate change, is using stardom to spread awareness to prevent catastrophic disruption of life on our planet via an interesting documentary titled ‘Before the Flood’

‘Before the Flood’ is directed by Oscar-winning filmmaker Fisher Stevens. It can be watched for free across a number digital and social platforms from October 30, 2016 till November 6, 2016, which includes, Apple TV, Roku, iTunes, Hulu, YouTube, Facebook, Twitter, Amazon, Sony PlayStation, GooglePlay and more.

“There is no greater threat to the future of our society than climate change. Fisher and I set out to make a film to educate people around the planet on the urgent issues of climate change and to inspire them to be part of the solution,” said DiCaprio.

Asserting on the urgency to create awareness, Stevens said, “Climate change is real, and we are feeling its effects more and more every day; it’s time we stop arguing its existence, and do everything we can to bring this issue to the forefront of people’s minds so that real action is taken to combat climate change.”

‘Before the Flood’ presents a riveting account of the dramatic changes now occurring around the world due to climate change as well as the actions we as individuals and as a society can take to prevent catastrophic disruption of life on our planet. What’s more interesting is that the film explains real and practical solutions to help save the planet Earth.

For this, DiCaprio interviews charismatic leaders from all facet of society like US President Barack Obama, former US President Bill Clinton, Secretary of State Kerry, UN Secretary General Ban Ki-Moon, Pope Francis along with top NASA researchers, forest conservationists, revered scientists, community leaders and fervent activists working to save the world.

The soundtrack of this documentary on climate change is exceptionally good as it features not only Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross, but also Gustavo Santaolalla and Mogwai.
